The tradition began 49 years ago by the late Bill Meyers, PGA of America member, and founder and developer of Riviera Country Club in Ormond Beach. The club is still owned by Eric and Charlotte Meyers, and along with their children and grandchildren, they continue to support professional golf by allowing this event to continue...Your support is very important to both the event and this tour.....Let's show them how much we appreciate what they have done for the game of golf by supporting this great Championship.........Call us now to reserve your spot!

News from the PGA Tour.......

2nd Stage Qualifying Tournament... November 16-21, 2009 at Southern Hills Plantation Club...Located in Brooksville, FL.....     Good luck to all our friends competing.....

Very important news.......

 2010....Rules changes on Grooves...

The FPGTour announced today that it will NOT adopt the new grooves change as a "Condition of competition" for the upcoming 2010 portion of their schedule...
We feel that at this time the tools and testing equipment needed are not readily available, making it impossible for us to accurately check a competitors clubs to determine whether or not they are conforming........This decision is based on the advice of our Rules consultant, Mr. Gene Smith of the Champions Tour, and on the recomendation of a USGA spokesperson....

The FPGTour would like to caution all players who plan on competing in, or Qualifying for a USGA Championship (ie. US Open, US Senior Open) or any PGA Tour, Champions Tour, or Nationwide Tour event after January 1, 2010.......to check the Conditions of Competition for these events before attempting to compete, as it is our understanding that your clubs will have to conform.

If a player competing on the FPGTour feels they are at a disadvantage because he or she is using conforming clubs and other competitors are not,  simply play your old clubs.

We will reevaluate our position on this matter after April 1, 2010
